Penn State Scandal

This is my first blog and I hope everyone will go on this journey with me. Please bare with me and I really hope you enjoy what I have to say.

This Penn State scandal has been a story that touches everyone in some form of fashion. You have the die hard football fans and the you got the people looking out for children rights. I really believe Penn State did not do enough to protect the children but they did do a lot to protect the integrity(and I use that loosely) of the school.

Joe Paterno did a lot for the football team as well as the school but what did he do for the children that needed help. He was just as involved as Jerry Sandusky was. Why would you protect a guy like that I mean, just look at him. Sandusky will do some prison time, Paterno will never have the chance to speak out about the lastest findings and alumni, students and fans are left to deal with the state of Penn State, or as I call it, Penning The State. There are a lot of questions that might not get answered but for the ones they can be answered, what does the school do from here.

The Paterno name is all over the school, the library and his own statue. So what is that state of his name remaining at the school? A lot of people are torn on should his name stay on the library and should his statue remain up on campus. If I was a gambling man(I dont gamble much), I would say the name comes down and that state of the statue, will not remain. We can go on and on about who should take the fall for the "penning of the state," and look like Sandusky will take the major fall but will Paterno's name fall even harder than his, only time will tell.
