The Tough Road

I thought about making a lot of turns in my life, trying to make sure I make the right one. I do a lot of traveling so I let the GPS tell me where to turn sometimes so I will not get lost. I never thought about what can happen to me on the road  but I just go. I have passed a lot white lines that is in the middle of the road and been through a lot of green lights, a lot of exits and four way stops and so on. Through all of this, am I making the right turns? Should I just stay straight, should I make a u-turn, should I just stop? Everyday we as people come to the point in the road where we have to make a turn and that decision can be tough. I think about the turns I make and I hope for the best that they are the best turn to make for me.

Take a look at the road that you are riding on. Are you riding in the fast lane or are you just letting everybody pass you by? Maybe you are on cruise controol. Somewhere in life you have to look at your road, make sure it has lines in the middle to keep you from going into other peoples lanes. Make sure that you are driving your car and not letting someone else do the driving for you. I know this may just sound like a driving lesson, but honestly, look at this entry indirectly, think about it! Really, really think about it. Yeah I am just using roads and signs as a way to guide me thru the right life. Its a tough road out there, just make sure you make the right turns and life will not be that tough at all. Until next time peace and much love!!!!!

The Adjustment

I know its been a while since I wrote a blog, and the only thing I really write about is sports but I'm going to write about me this time. If you have not heard, I left Mobile to pursue a sports photographer position in Birmingham, AL at the NBC station. I did my eight years in Mobile and it really taught me a lot. It taught me to be patient and just wait for my turn. In the back of my mind, I always felt I would be doing something different than what I was doing in Mobile and it really came to me. I guess all the praying and patience paid off and thats one thing I cannot forget. Sports is my passion and I had to go after that. I'm doing a job that I really love and I want to tell people that if you are not doing something that you LOVE to do, then whats the point? Are you in it to just pay bills? Are you there because you have to be there? Life is too short to be stuck in a hole and waiting for the world to come to you. You have to go out and get the world before it swallows you up. I was determined to not let that happen to me. Believe me, I had a lot of rejections but I never gave up on what I wanted to do in life. I never quit, and yeah I complained here and there but that actually got me nowhere and fast. If you are reading this, think about where your life is and where it is going. Make some adjustments if you have to, change your routine and stop being predictable, letting the world see your plans, just go out and do it without telling people. Adjust your life to the point where people want to say, "I wish I was doing what he/she is doing." I really glad I made this adjustment to Birmingham, this can only lead to bigger and better things!!!!!! Peace and much love.
